The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Mellie, said in an open message to the military that officials would protect the rights of civilians.

The military has been sent back to North Carolina from Washington as a result of a statement against the president by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
200 troops were called to Washington to crush the protests against the death of innocent George Floyd, but even before the deployment on the streets, there was a front against President Trump.

Former Army Chief of Staff General John Allen and former Secretary of Defense Gen.
(retd) James Mattis also openly criticized President Trump's call for troops.

General Mattis said that Trump is the first president who is bent on dividing the country instead of uniting it.

General Allen called Donald Trump's presidency the beginning of the end of democracy in the United States, criticized President Trump for going to church and holding the Bible, and called Trump's response to Floyd's assassination shameful.
Defense Secretary Mark Asper also distanced himself from President Trump's statement on troop deployments.

Senator Lenzie Graham, Donald Trump's right-hand man, has also admitted that he can no longer say that no charges can be brought against President Trump.

Republican Senator Lisa Markowski called James
Mattis's statement a matter of time
and acknowledged that it was becoming increasingly
difficult to stand with President Trump.
