German prosecutors announced Wednesday (April 9th) on Wednesday, April 5 that five Tajik nationals have been arrested for allegedly belonging to the ISIS terrorist group.

German police say the five Tajikistanis were planning to attack American forces based in Germany.
The German authorities also said in a statement that the group had also obtained weapons, ammunition and explosives for the bombing of US forces.
City prosecutors in Germany's Karlsruhe have said the five men have been imprisoned for the past month and have formed a terrorist network in Germany after joining the Islamic Emirate or ISIS.
German authorities say the five Tajikistanis were in contact with senior ISIS members in Syria and Afghanistan and received instructions from them.
Authorities added that there are about 5 hard-working Muslims in the country, with around 3 in the group considered to be very dangerous, which may lead to violence.
Germany also arrested several people in connection with ISIS in the first seven years.
