The Saudi Ministry of Justice has imposed penalties on employees who shake hands in offices and do not wear masks.
The ministry has made this decision for the employees who do not abide by the safety measures prescribed to prevent corona in case of complete restoration of all government and private offices from Shawwal on Sunday, June 21.
According to Saudi media, the Ministry of Justice said in a statement that holding gatherings and ceremonies is prohibited, and violators will be deducted at least one month's salary for employees of 10th grade and below.
Employees of 11th grade or above will be deprived of the annual allowance.
Shaking hands in offices will be punishable by a minimum of 5 days' salary deduction. This punishment is prescribed for employees of 10th or lower grade or similar, while those of 11th and above grade will be issued a letter of reprimand.
If an employee refuses to have a temperature check, at least 15 days' pay will be deducted. This punishment will be for employees of 10th grade or below or similar grade. If the violation is committed by an employee of 11th or above or a similar grade, he/she will be deprived of an annual allowance.
Failure to adhere to the prescribed distance (at least one and a half meters) in line at the entrances and exits of offices will result in a 5-day pay cut. This punishment will be for employees of 10th or lower grade or similar grade while those of 11th and above grade or similar grade will be issued a warning letter for doing so.
At least one month's salary will be deducted for not wearing protective masks at office doors or inside or in public places. This penalty is for employees of 10th grade or below or similar grade - while employees of 11th or above or similar grade will be deprived of a year allowance.
At least 5 days' pay will be deducted for not using paper cups for beverages - this punishment is fixed for employees of 10th grade or below or similar grade while 11th or above or similar. A warning letter will be issued to the grade employees.
A minimum of 15 days' salary will be deducted for praying on different floors or not using your place of prayer or keeping a distance of one and a half meters during prayers - this punishment is for employees of 10th grade or below or similar grade. Employees of 11th or above or similar grade will be deprived of the annual allowance.
Failure to co-operate with law enforcement officials in the office will result in isolation in a separate room or handing over to a medical care provider.
Corona test results will be deducted at least 2 months' salary for deliberately concealing or not acknowledging the appearance of Corona symptoms or not reporting a visit to a Corona-infected patient - a sentence of the tenth or less This is for employees of the same grade - while employees of 11th or above or similar grade will be deprived of the annual allowance.
The Ministry of Justice has warned that if employees do not comply with any of the provisions of the Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare, they will be deducted at least 15 days' pay. This penalty is for employees of 10th or lower grade or similar grade - while employees of 11th or above or similar grade will be deprived of the annual allowance.
The Ministry of Justice has also issued a procedure for registration of violations and disciplinary action against violators.
