The popular video conferencing application 'Zoom' has launched its new and improved version 5.0 to make users' information more secure.
The new version includes enhanced encryption features to prevent unauthorized people from attending a video conference. Attending any meeting will require a six-digit password instead of the password itself.
In addition to webinars and cloud recordings, the meeting admin has also been given the facility to enter the expiration date of the recording.

Prior to the release of version 5.0 of Zoom, the company was heavily criticized for poor data and user privacy.
Allegations were being made that meeting hosts were allowed to track participants.
The biggest problem with the Zoom app was that unauthorized people joined it during meetings, which led many companies, educational institutions, and governments to stop using the app.
A similar incident took place in Singapore where a meeting of teachers on Zoom was disrupted by unscrupulous individuals (alleged hackers).
It was raised that it could not provide a secure service to so many customers.
After criticism over security issues, the head of the company apologized and promised customers that he would address these concerns.
