Hurricane Amphan hit Indian shores
typhoon Amphan, which formed in the Bay of Bengal, hit Indian shores, causing storms and rains in the Indian state of Orissa and West Bengal.
The storm affected 106 kmph winds, high waves, and torrential rains in the coastal areas of Orissa and West Bengal.
Millions of people have been evacuated from coastal areas.
The typhoon will also hit the coast of Bangladesh.
typhoon Amphan is said to be the largest hurricane to hit the Bay of Bengal since 1999.
