KARACHI: Asif Siddiqui, a government employee who received funding from the Indian intelligence agency RAW, was arrested in an operation by the FIA's anti-terrorism wing.
According to Express-News, officials said that Asif Siddiqui, a key member of the RAW sleeper cell, has been arrested in a key operation of the FIA's anti-terrorism wing in Karachi. Accused Asif Siddiqui is also involved in arms shipments. The arrested accused was a 17th-grade government employee and used to send information about law enforcement agencies to India.

Authorities claim that the accused Asif Siddiqui belongs to MQM London and is a member of the organization's sleeper cell and used to receive funding for terrorism from the Indian intelligence agency RAW. The FI had produced accused Asif Siddiqui in the court for physical remand.
The court has granted physical remand to the accused till May 15.
