Florida: A small plane crashed in the US state of Florida after colliding with electric wires.
One person was killed and another was injured when a small plane crashed in Miramar, Florida, according to a report by a foreign news agency.
The injured man was rushed to a hospital where his condition is said to be critical.
According to the report, after colliding with the power lines, a fire broke out in the plane PA-34 and it crashed.
"I was on my way to a friend's house when I suddenly saw a small plane flying very low, with the pilot's face clearly visible," said eyewitness Alan Brammer. He said he looked like he was trying to get off the road.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the pilot told air traffic controllers he was trying to return to the airport when the plane crashed.
The plane was registered at the Women's Aviation Flight School and its pilot had completed his training after which he flew.
Eddie Lowe, vice president of the Wayman Aviation Academy, says he was following the right procedure. Maybe this was not the right time for him.
According to the report, the National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA have launched an investigation into the accident.
