Proceedings to oust Huawei Technologies chief executive officer Meng Wanzhou from Canada will begin in June.
Meng is accused of defrauding HSBC of its relationship with Huawei, a company operating in Iran.
Meng's lawyers have argued in a Canadian court that Canada has not imposed economic sanctions on Iran, so Meng cannot be tried in Canada.
The judge rejected the request, paving the way for Meng to be deported to the United States.
