Release of prisoners: Negotiations between talban and afghanistan government

The Afghan government and the Taliban have begun negotiations to release each other's prisoners.
Details of the initial meeting in this regard before the second meeting were revealed on Wednesday. The talks are taking place at a time when the Afghan government has imposed strict restrictions on the movement of citizens in view of the threat of the Corona virus.

Under the agreement between the United States and the Taliban in Doha, the Afghan government will release 5,000 Taliban prisoners, while in return the Taliban will release 1,000 prisoners of Afghan security forces.

These talks are taking place in the background of violent acts in the country. Afghan authorities blamed the Taliban for the bombing in the country's southern province of Helmand on Wednesday, killing eight. The highest number of deaths are children.
