The story of Maulana Tariq Jameel's life, how he completed his journey from a singer and a doctor to a religious scholar




Who will be unfamiliar with Maulana Tariq Jameel? You are known as a preacher and theologian.

Maulana Tariq Jameel was born on October 1, 1953, in a landed family in Mian Channu District, Khanewal, Punjab, while his father belonged to the Muslim Rajput Jamaat.

Maulana Sahib's father wanted him to become a doctor, so after completing his primary education, he enrolled for an MBBS at King Edward Medical University in Lahore.

During his studies, he was living in a hostel when a friend of Maulana Sahib came to call him on Friday. Maulana Sahib thought that he might have come to show the film, but the friend said that he should offer Friday prayers first.

According to Maulana Tariq Jameel, the friend asked him to start preaching after prayers, which Tariq Jameel refused. The friend forced him, which he agreed to and went on preaching. From here Maulana Tariq Jameel Sahib got guidance and he started walking on the path of Allah.

Maulana Tariq Jameel said that his father and family were very angry with him when he told him that he wanted to become a religious scholar and not a doctor until his parents stopped talking to him.

Maulana Tariq Jameel Sahib left his university and entered the Arabian University Raiwind Lahore to pursue religious education and studied the Qur'an, Shariah, Fiqh, Logic, Hadith, and Sufism for eight years.
